THE LOCATION: Eagles & Antlers Retreat is about 2 miles up a mountain on well maintained gravel roads. The mountain community is "Wilderness Ranch". With a secluded setting in the mountains outside of Boise, we offer an array of adventures from this 'home base'.
 WHAT TO DO Lucky Peak Lake is just 10 minutes from our driveway. Enjoy fishing, boating, jet-skiing at the lake, or bring your mountain bikes and hiking shoes and explore a wide variety of trails. Check out local trout streams, or drive up the road to challenging whitewater. Idaho City, with it's rich gold mining history, is just 15 minutes away. Learn about the rough and tumble life 1800's gold miners, explore Idaho City's historical buildings and museum, and enjoy some good eats at one of the local restaurants.
  THE HOUSE & PREMISES:Our retreat offers 3 bedrooms, 2 baths with room for up to 8 guests. We are pet-friendly. Dogs under 20 lbs are welcome in the house, and we've also got a large dog exercise area and completely fenced in yard. A well appointed kitchen with granite counter tops, quality appliances and windows galore make meal preparation easy. Dine in or out on one of our decks or porches and listen to the sound of our man-made mountain brook and waterfall. Comfy furnishings enable you to relax after a day of extreme adventure or sit with the family and share stories. A new sun room will be complete this year and offers sleeping under a glass roof to enjoy the dark, starry mountain nights. You may hear owls and coyotes while you drop off to sleep. In the morning, enjoy coffee and breakfast at the outdoor "coffee bar" overlooking the pond and garden. Sit on the porch swing and read a good book, take a morning run, or go for an energizing hike further up the mountain. Throughout the day, you are very likely to see elk, deer, wild turkey, foxes and lots of birds in the yard. Quiet voices will ensure that wild visitors stay a while...nibbling grasses, eating seeds and napping in the shade and perching outside the windows.
THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE BOOKING: We ARE in the mountains. If you've dreamed of being cell-phone free......this is the place. Cell phones don't work here. We do have a land line and internet access. Our roads are gravel and wind up the mountain. Our speed limit is 15mph for the safety of our residents, our wildlife and our roads. Obey the speed limit. Dogs are not permitted to run loose, to bark excessively or to chase wildlife. If you bring your dog, please clean up after it.
